In collaboration with LOUIS XIII Cognac, Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry recently unveiled North America’s largest publicly displayed decanter of LOUIS XIII Cognac. The limited-edition and individually numbered 6-liter “Le Mathusalem” is made of hand-blown Baccarat crystal and filled with an exquisite blend of up to 1,200 grapes sourced from Grande Champagne and matured slowly inside an oak cask.
As CEO Stephen Silver explains of the partnership, “I have worked on a single gemstone for years, sourcing it and taking it through laborious stages of design, cutting, refining, and setting to see it reach its full potential. Fine cognac is much the same. It takes over 100 years to produce a single drop of Louis XIII.”
Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry is also offering private presentations and tasting of the rare French cognac to any customers who make a purchase over $25,000. “Now we will share a ‘Louis XIII Moment’ with our most dedicated clients as a permanent tradition,” says President Jared Silver. “It’s our way of honoring them and saying, ‘thank you’ for their support.”
Meanwhile, anyone can have a look. The LOUIS XIII “Le Mathusalem” decanter will remain on permanent public display at the Silvers’ Rosewood Sand Hill boutique, along with its dedicated case, crystal glasses, serving platter, and a pipette, which pays homage to the ancestral tasting and serving rituals of the LOUIS XIII cellar masters.
