Menlo Park’s hot new spot to see and be seen this summer is Menlo Tavern at the Stanford Park Hotel. After a terrific renovation (think: clubby atmosphere and cosmopolitan vibe), Menlo Tavern is serving up craft cocktails (don’t miss the Full Moon made with Alquima Organic Anejo Tequila, pineapple, grapefruit, and lime juices, with a jalapeno ice sphere) and a locally sourced menu worth savoring. Dishes to enjoy include Cowgirl Creamery Burrata with lemon olive oil, fried basil, and country bread (great for sharing) and the Heritage Pork Chop with sweet potato puree and drunken blackberries. Or for a truly indulgent treat, order the Caviar and Chips served with crème fraiche and pair it with a glass of Schramsberg blanc de blanc.
We’re excited to stop by and enjoy the Menlo Tavern’s Summer Music Series with live music and patio dining (seven nights a week) through October 13.
The glamorous new Harry Winston salon in San Francisco dazzles.
It is undeniable that the performing arts industry is under-going major changes. With the innovation in technology and a shift in audience demands, art institutions are trying to attract and reach a rapidly changing audience before it is too late. Red Curtain Addict, a performing arts start-up in San Francisco, has set out to “unite the arts” by making the arts easily accessible, approachable, and fun to a new and young audience.
