Classic San Francisco elegance describes the sophisticated wedding of Molly McGlynn (daughter of Kathy and Casey McGlynn) and Tom Harman (son of Kathy and Dave Harman). The bride grew up in Palo Alto and attended Sacred Heart in Atherton and Providence College in Rhode Island, while the groom grew up in London and attended the University of Bath. They met on the dating site Hinge. Molly relates, “We never would have met otherwise, so we’re eternally grateful that we found each other. We both knew pretty quickly that there was something special happening and have never looked back.”

Tom proposed in scenic Mendocino. “We spent the day driving up the coast, stopping at my favorite spot, Hog Island Oysters, and eventually making our way up to Timber Cove,” recalls Molly. “The next day we went on an early morning hike and Tom proposed as we were looking out over this gorgeous cliff. We got ahold of our parents to share the exciting news, but after that we ended up having zero cell service, so it was really special to be able to just enjoy the moment between the two of us.”

The couple was married in the historic Mission San Francisco de Asis, followed by a stunning reception at the Lakeside Olympic Club. The bridal party was ferried to the reception in a classic San Francisco cable car. When asked to name a favorite moment from the special day, Molly says, “The first moment we saw each other, as I was walking down the aisle, was by far our favorite moment. We both just felt so full of love and excited to begin our life together—then to look over and see the pews filled to the brim with our closest family and friends was incredible. It was really overwhelming in the best way.”

After a honeymoon in Bora Bora, the couple now resides in San Francisco.

Special Touches

Something Borrowed
The bride notes, “My something borrowed was from three important women in my life who are sadly no longer with us. I carried handkerchiefs from my grandma, aunt, and nana, so that I could keep them close to me on this special day.”
Vintage Touch
Molly’s mother found exquisite vintage Champagne coups that were used by guests during the cocktail hour. Says Molly, “They were so delicate and beautiful!”
Across the Pond
The couple’s custom wedding invitations blended the skylines of San Francisco and London—a nod to where the bride and groom grew up, respectively.
